Update Manual Lenovo K3 Note with Android Lollipop 5.0 Vibe_UI_2.5 - Welcome back to Lenovo Modding blog, today tutorial will show how to update new device Lenovo K3 Note with Vibe UI 2.5 that already use Android Lollipop 5.0 as it operating system. For Vibe UI 2.5 Lenovo K3 Note or K50-T5 still dont have international firmware version so it still use china firmware version that have some drawbacks, you can see at rom description below.
Before following the guide need to tell that every modification on firmware has possibility to brick your device and also losing data, i dont take responsible if that happen while you following this guide, take your own risk.

Requirements :

Computer with windows 7 or lower, not guarantee will work with windows 8 or later, recommend to use windows 7
Charge your device until it has 70% battery.
Installation for USB VCOM driver, for install USB VCOM driver just follow below step :
- turn off your device and remove the battery, If you device using non removable make sure that your device is completely turn off wait like 20 seconds after power off the device
- open device manager on your computer
- connect your device using USB cable
- there will be MTK65xx Preloader Devices show on your device manager, PORT section for 5 second or less and then disappear
- disconnect and connect your device again, right click on MTK65xx Preloader Devices before it disappear, select Update Driver Software
- point it USB VCOM extracted folder, and install the driver from there.
- disconnect and connect your device again, there will be Mediatek PreLoader USB VCOM Port on your device manager PORT section.

Update Manual Lenovo K3 Note with Android Lollipop 5.0 Vibe_UI_2.5

Download all required files from above links, place it on one folder for easy organized it. example C:K3Note
Extract ROM folder and flash tool folder, you will get 2 folders, flash tool folder and target_bin folder, go to flash tool folder and run flash_tool.exe. If you are using windows 7 or later please run it using administrator privilege.
On the flash tool, please go to Options ? Option ? Download please make sure DA DL All with Checksum already checked, click X (Close) to back to Flash Tool, this option is very important so please dont forget it.

Now please click on the Scatter-Loading button and point it to ROM extracted folder and the select MT6752_Android_scatter_emmc.txt this will automatically loaded all required images file to update your device, Please wait until flash tool finish processing the image files and become stand by.

Change Download option from Download Only to Firmware Upgrade mode, now you can press Download button or hit CTRL+D. Flash tool will initialize the files that add to the flash tool and when finish flash tool will ready to make connection with your device.

When flash tool already finish and stand by, now please turn off your device and remove the battery if your devices using no removable battery than you must make sure that device is completely turn off. Connect your device to computer using USB cable, flash tool will immediately recognize your device and begin to start flashing process, this process will take 5-6 minutes to finish and when you see GREEN CIRCLE in the middle of flash tool that mean flashing process already finish

Done, you have successful update your Lenovo K3 Note with Vibe UI 2.5, please confirm it with go to System Setting ? About Phone and look at the Build Number it must be same with the downloaded ROM.

Extract file with 7zip program to the root on your drive, example c:K910FLASH_TWRP_recovery_K910L_4.4, please do not use any space on the folder.
Run bat :
FLASH_recovery_with_unlocked_bootloader.bat ? this bat will only install custom recovery when bootloader is unlocked.
FLASH_recovery_DD_with_root.bat ? run this bat file if your device have locked bootloader, this bat will install recovery and make root right.
RUN_recovery.bat ? for one time run recovery with locked bootloader, this bat file will not install the recovery on your device.
Just wait your device to reboot and boot to new recovery.

Lenovo S850 Installing Android Lollipop 5.0 Custom ROM

First thing to do is install USB Vcom driver on your computer, without this driver installed on your computer flash tool will not recognize your device and progress bar will stay at 0%, for installing USB Vcom driver please refer to this below :
- turn off your device and remove the battery, If you device using non removable make sure that your device is completely turn off wait like 20 seconds after power off the device
- open device manager on your computer
- connect your device using USB cable
- there will be MTK65xx Preloader Devices show on your device manager, PORT section for 5 second or less and then disappear
- disconnect and connect your device again, right click on MTK65xx Preloader Devices before it disappear, select Update Driver Software
- point it USB VCOM extracted folder, and install the driver from there.
- disconnect and connect your device again, there will be Mediatek PreLoader USB VCOM Port on your device manager PORT section.

Extract the ROM download files, there will be contains 2 folder ROM folder and flash tool folder, now just go to flash tool folder and run flash_tool.exe
On the flash tool, check DA DL All with Checksum option this is must checked option so please dont forget it. Click Scatter-Loading button browse to target_bin folder and select MT6582_Android_scatter.txt file, when you select it will automatically load the rest files to flash tool.

When everything is set just press Download button or press F9, flash tool will begin to prepare the files that will be used for flashing process, wait until finish.
Now turn off your device, because Lenovo S850 use non removable battery you must make sure that it completely turn off. Connect your device to your computer, flash tool will recognize the device and starting flashing process, the process will take 5-6 minutes to finish and when you can see GREEN CIRCLE on the middle of flash tool that mean flashing process already finish successfully

Done, you have successful install Android 5.0 Lollipop to your Lenovo S850. Disconnect your device and try to do normal booting, first booting will take longer than usually approx 5 minutes or less so be patient.

Congratulations, Please remember that this ROM is on develop stage so if you consider that this ROM cannot use for daily just change the ROM again, and plese dont complain about bugs to me because i just share what i found on the net. Tutorial Recovery TWRP UMI Hammer Lollipop 5 1

UMI TWRP Recovery Hammer (Lollipop 5.1) (Installation using Flash Tool)

At last we have a Recovery with which to restore our nandroid copies and leave the terminal as it had before it any "adventure".

This recovery we have to thank the people of Cinafoniaci and we can download it from here: UMI Hammer TWRP 2.8.7.0: http://www.needrom.com/download/umi-hammer-twrp-2-8-7-0/

VSP also need to download the Flash Tool v5.1516.00 tool: http://www.needrom.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/SP_Flash_Tool_Windows_v5.1516.00.zip

The two downloads will leave them for example on the desktop, to make it easier to search and unpack.

Installation is simple verdaderamnte. Once downloaded VSP Flash Tool (or if we already had before) we open the cartpeta and you look at the putting green icon putting flash_tool, open it with a double click

We will notice if this is the first time we open, we give OK and continue

After opening the program window, if we had not already in our PC we will show the almost empty window, if you have already used before we will leave it as is, in both cases pincharemos in Scatter-loading

Now we will get a search window where we have to locate the folder where you have unzipped the Recovery. Click in it or Open

In it we will see the text file we want, the MT6732_Android_scatter, select it and double click it or click in sobr open

Now we see that Flash Tool window has changed and now they are selected only two squares, recovery and logo. The logo is to Cinafoniaci guys, is that we see every time we turn our terminal, out of respect for his work I would leave, it costs nothing ... Now we click the top left where it says Download.

Once we click on Download will see that it gets greyish, now we connect the USB cable to our PC and our terminal Hammer and simultaneously press VOL. + And while POWER (Volume Up and On)

If we do it right we see first down will get a red progress bar first, then yellow ...

Finally it ends with a window in the center confirming that everything went OK

And we will have our TWRP Recovery for Lollipop

Android 4 4 2 AOSP for Lenovo S860 with Android Lollipop UI

Android 4.4.2 AOSP for Lenovo S860 with Android Lollipop UI - After long time not posting any guide because lack of an update from Lenovo, now i am back with great news for Lenovo S860 users. I am found on xda-developer forum an modified AOSP Android 4.4.2 ROM that using Android Lollipop user interface.
This ROM already using full Android lollipop user interface so with this modified ROM you can getting an experience using Android Lollipop and try it until the real update for Lenovo S860 come out.
This ROM can only be install using custom recovery, it mean this ROM file will be in zip and your device must be already installed with custom recovery. Before starting to install and use it better to see the change logs and some screenshot from this ROM.

Android 4.4.2 AOSP for Lenovo S860 with Android Lollipop UI

First Lenovo S860 must be on Android 4.4.2 KitKat, and then already using custom recovery if not just go to above link i give and install it.
Copy the downloaded file to your external sd card, or any else that can be access from custom recovery. It recommended to put in on the root, not inside the folder.
Turn off the phone, and then turn it on again using Volume Up + Volume Down + Power button. This will make your device boot on recovery mode.
Do backup process first before continued the process, select Backup ? Swipe to backup

Wait the backup process until it finish completely, dont interrupt or skip the backup process cause you be be needed someday.
Now do the wipe process or factory reset process, select Wipe ? Advanced Wipe check the cache, data, dalvik cache and system. ? Swipe to wipe *after wiping process device will not have operating system

After done wipe process now it time to install the ROM. select Install ? Select zip file from ? browse it to downloaded file and the Swipe to Install, wait the process and dont interrupt it.
Process will take 3-4 minutes to finish and you can see the log on your screen. When finish now you can Reboot your device, it will take several time to do the first boot so please patience.
If you got problem on first boot, more than 15 minutes then do factory reset again. Now do the wipe process or factory reset process, select Wipe ? Swipe to factory reset, then try to normal boot.

How to eradicate Android 5.1.1 Nexus 5 Lollipop (LMY48B) [Guide] - Once you have updated the Nexus 5 to the last image of Android 5.1.1 factory LMY48B Lollipop, you will need to obtain root access it again from the image of factory waste clean. Ill show how you can eradicate the Nexus 5 Lollipop LMY48B Android 5.1.1 firmware build number.

REQUIREMENTS
You want to install the factory image LMY48B if you already have root access, because the official OTA update can brick your device. Once this is done, follow this guide to get root access back.
Just follow this guide to the Google Nexus 5 and any other device Google Nexus.

Before starting
You make void the warranty following the guidance Nexus.
You must enable USB debugging mode. First, open the Options Developer, go to Settings> About device> tap the build number 7 times. Now you can find options Scheduler configuration now and USB debugging is within Developer options.
Download Google USB drivers to the Windows computer. If you find the guide does not work, try restarting your computer to get the drivers to work and return to the directory.
You must unlock the Nexus 5 bootloader before starting this guide. No way to do it with a locked bootloader.

AS ROOT Android 5.1.1 Nexus 5 image factory LOLLIPOP

Download and install the Android SDK from the official web site developers.
You can configure Windows ADB and Fastboot following our guide. If you already have, there is no need to do it again.
Download SuperSU you want to have Chain of Fire.
SuperSU transfer the file to the internal SD card storage device in the Nexus 5.
Download ClockworkMod Recovery want. CWM transfer the file to the same folder with the Asian Development Bank.
Completely off the Nexus 5 by holding the power button.
Start the Nexus 5 in Fastboot mode by pressing the volume and power buttons together and hold them firmly clamped until the menu appears.
Open the folder where you have ADB and CWM and click the mouse while holding down the Shift key and choose to open the windows command here since the new menu.
Now type this command: fastboot flash recovery recovery-clock-touch-6.0.4.5-hammerhead.img
Now look at the new menu in changing device and select the recovery option. Now you are entering recovery mode.
Choose the "flash zip from SD card" option, followed choose zip from sdcard ".
Locate the file has been transferred SuperSU prior to the root of storage and confirm to increase.
Once complete, go to the main recovery menu and choose to reboot.

Congratulations! Now you have gained root access recovery inside thanks to the SuperSU and you can flash a custom ROM again.

Lenovo S860 Update your custom recovery with TWRP 2 8 4 0 Android Lollipop design

Lenovo S860 Update your custom recovery with TWRP 2.8.4.0 Android Lollipop design - Today guide is about updating custom recovery with TWRP v2.8.4.0. The guide will show you how to prepare your computer and updating Lenovo S860 using flash tool, file on this guide also can be use using Mobile Uncle but i will not explain it here.
TWRP v2.8.4.0 with Android Lollipop design already support OTG, and can mount sd card perfectly. Backup from previous version cannot be used on this version, already try backup, restore seems work perfectly. Wipe data does for 2 second. This custom recovery is only work for ROW version so need to install ROW firmware if you device is china device with 1gb version.

Lenovo S860 Update your custom recovery with TWRP 2.8.4.0 Android Lollipop design :

When you reach this step i assume that you already successful installing USB VCom driver on your computer. Download all required files above and extract on the same folder.
Open flash tool extracted folder and run flash_tool.exe, if you are using windows 7 or later please run it using administrator privileges to avoid any permission error.
On the flash tool, check DA DL All with Checksum and the click Scatter-Loading button browse it to custom recovery extracted folder and then select MT6582_Android_scatter.txt, click open.
It will automatically load recovery.img to flash tool

Now, you just need to press Download button on flash tool, it will trigger warning that said not all images correctly loaded. Just press Yes button and flash tool will become standby waiting connection with your device. (with all button disable, only stop button enable)
Turn off your device, remove the battery or if your device use non removable battery just make sure that it completely turn off (wait for 2-3 minutes after power off it). Connect your device to flash tool, if USB VCOM driver is completely install the flash tool will recognize your device and begin to flash the custom recovery, it will take 10-15 second to finish and will show GREEN CIRCLE in the middle of flash tool

PS :
If you got error code 8038 after connect Lenovo S860 to computer, then you must use mobile uncle to install this recovery. The error mean your partition table is not same with the recovery. (PMT Changed, must be downloaded)

Congratulations, now TWRP v2.8.4.0 already installed on Lenovo S860, you can confirm with reboot to recovery mode, press and hold Power button + Volume Up + Volume Down button while you device is in off condition, release it when you can see TWRP main menu.

Unlocking bootloader for Lenovo S90 running Android KitKat or Android Lollipop ROW CN

Unlocking bootloader for Lenovo S90 running Android KitKat or Android Lollipop (ROW/CN) - Unlocking bootloader is necessary step for modified Lenovo S90, some advantages unlocking bootloader is root can be install on your device, change official recovery with custom recovery in this case change to TWRP.
Rooting and change custom recovery also give some advantage too, from backing up system until installing custom ROM also. But the process to unlocking bootloader is not easy and sometime can make your device brick, so must be understand the risk before start following this guide.
The author assume that you already know the risk if the process is fail, and there is no warranty if the process is always success 100%.

A good shape USB cable
We need to install all necessary driver and a flasher program, download below files and begin install it one by one
- Qualcomm_USB_Drivers_Windows ? there is no exe file so you must install it manual, if you dont know how to do it search at google.
- LenovoUsbDriver ? just extract and run it.
- QPST 2.7.422 ? flasher program need to install first before continued to the next step.

Prepare device to ready for the next step.
- Turn on USB debugging, go to System Setting ? Developer Options ? give check on USB debbugging. If you missing Developer Options then go to System Setting ? About Phone ? tap 7x until 10x on Build Number
- Put the phone on diagnosis mode :
  - Android KitKat 4.4.4 ? connect the phone to pc using USB cable then make dial *#*#8899#*#*, then just select OK
  - Android Lollipop 5.0.2 ? turn off the phone, then turn it on again with hold Volume down + Power button until you can see service menu.
Look on the device manager on your pc, you should see something like on the picture
click on the image if you want see bigger picture

Run QFIL flasher program
On the Programmer Path, select prog_emmc_firehose_8916.mbn from the extracted folder, it will automatically load Search Path
Click on Load XML.... button and select rawprogram0.xml and patch0.xml also from extracted folder

Click the Download button and wait the process until it finish, device will automatically reboot.

How to eradicate Android 5 0 2 Galaxy S6 Lollipop Guide

The Samsung Galaxy S6 is the new flagship of the giant South Korean technology, and now itâ € ™ s search for a new Android update 5.02 Lollipop. If you installed the latest software update (by air or manually) you can now uproot the software 5.0.2 using the following guide. Check all you need after the jump.

REQUIREMENTS
The guide is intended for use only with firmware 5.0.2 Lollipop. We do not know if this guide work for future updates.
Similarly, itâ € ™ s only intended for the S6 and no other smartphone. Most files are only made with a phone in mind so you can not € ™ t flash files on any device.
Select a file below for your model number. The Galaxy S6 comes in thirteen different model numbers. If you do not see your model number, you must wait until it is. Dona € ™ t flash different model numbers on your device.

Before starting
Download each of the following files in the Windows PC:
Download the latest USB drivers Samsung mobile phones of our link here.
Download CF-Auto-Root for SM-G920F
Download CF-Auto-Root for SM-G920T
Download Odin 3.09.
Extract the files to the desktop. Youâ € ™ ll need to restart the PC or the new drivers to work.

AS ROOT SAMSUNG GALAXY S6 Android 5.0.2 FIRMWARE LOLLIPOP

Start with your computer turned on and the phone off.
S6 to start the download mode: hold the Volume Down + Home + Power buttons for a few seconds and release when the display changes.
Now a screen is a yellow warning triangle on the bottom. press the Volume Up button to enter download mode.
Run the tool Odin expects ™ € ita s open.
Connect the S6 with the computer via the USB cable that comes with.
Click the button in Odin and AP load the CF-Auto-Root file.
Click the Start button in Odin.
Now wait for the message passing and S6 restart the computer before disconnecting.
