Lenovo S960, Re Flashing with Android Jelly Bean Row Version - Today guide is about to flashing old firmware for Lenovo S960 or known as Vibe X, On this guide i would like to share how to flashing an Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 on your device, the reason is why would back to Android 4.2.2 ? because when installing Android 4.4.2 or Android KitKat your device not as fast as using Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2.
This guide is using flash tool method, common method for Lenovo devices. This method will erase all data, and system on device so better do backup first before following this guide, and this flash tool method also have possibility to brick your device and remove your IMEI so consider it.

- S960_ROW_S128_140127 ? 1.2 Gb, contains all required images files to flashing your device to Android Jelly Bean.
- USB VCOM Driver ? Install this driver first on your computer, Turn off your device and remove the battery, using USB cable connect your device while look at My Computer ? Manage ? Device Manager there will be MTK65xx Preloader Devices show up for 5 second than disappeared, before disappeared right click on it and select Update Driver Software point it to USB VCOM Driver extracted folder. When it finish disconnect and connect again there will be Mediatek PreLoader USB VCOM Port on your device manager.
- SP Flash Tool v3.1320 ? Flash tool that needed to flash the ROM to your device, recommended to use only this version.
Lenovo S960, Re Flashing with Android Jelly Bean Row Version ROW_S128
- Download add required files need to do this guide. It recommended to place all files on the one folder for easy organize it, because this guide using flash tool so first think you must to do is make sure that USB VCOM driver is installed properly on your computer.
- Extract all, ROM files and flash tool. Go to flash tool extracted folder and then run flash_tool.exe, if you are using windows 7 or later please make sure that you run it using administrator privilege to avoid any permission error.
- On the flash tool, check DA DL All with Checksum option and then click on Scatter-Loading button browse it to ROM extracted folder target_bin and the select MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt. When you select android scatter file and load it to flash tool it also will automatically load another image files to flash tool.
- Now press Download button on the flash tool or your can hit F9 on your keyboard. This make flash tool begin to initialize ROM file and after few minutes it will become stand by and ready to make connection with your device. (When you got flash tool error 8038 when connect your device, then please try click firmware?upgrade button)
- Next step is turn off your device, because Lenovo S960 using non removable battery so you must make sure that your device is completely turn off. Then just connect your device to your computer.
- Flash tool will recognize your device and begin to start flashing process, then process will take 5-6 minutes to finish, GREEN CIRCLE will pop up on the middle on flash tool when it already finish.
- Done, now you can disconnect your device, turn your device on. First time boot will take longer usually take 4-5 minutes so please be patient. Go to dialer and dial ####8888#, this is will do factory reset on your device. (will remove all data on device, built in storage)
- Done, Just boot to your home screen and confirm firmware Build Number and make sure is same as ROM downloaded S960_ROW_S128_140127.

Lenovo S650, How to Re-Partition Internal Memory on Vibe UI 2.0 1439 - One thing that different among International version and China version is internal capacity from each ROM, International version ROM have internal memory around 5Gb that can be use by users to install applications but on China version it only have around 2.5Gb. This issue bothering users that wanna install china version Vibe UI 2.0.
Today guide is i wanna show you how to re partition your internal memory on Lenovo S650 that running Vibe UI 2.0 to have bigger storage capacity. For your information, this guide is gone edit the partition table on your device and that should not be done if you dont understand about android device. This guide has possibility to brick your device if something wrong happen so please consider it before following this guide.

Requirements :
- Device with china version firmware, this guide tried on Lenovo S650 running Vibe UI 2.0 1439
- Rooted devices, Lenovo S650, How to Root Vibe UI 2.0 China version Firmware 1439
- Custom recovery installed, Lenovo S650, How to Install Custom Recovery TWRP Vibe UI 2.0 1439
- Will lose ability to use phone storage.
Downloads :
- rp_5.5+0.5gb-cn ? If you use this file for re-partition your internal memory, it will give you 5.5Gb /data partition and ~0.5Gb phone storage or around 566Mb
- rp_6.0+0.0gb-cn1 ? Using this file for re-partition your internal memory, you will get 6.0Gb /data partition and ~0.0Gb phone storage or 55Mb
Lenovo S650, How to Re-Partition Internal Memory on Vibe UI 2.0 1439
- First thing to do is make sure you can successful boot on TWRP recovery mode, for able to boot on recovery mode do with this button combinations, press and hold Power Button + Volume Up + Volume Down and release once you see TWRP main menu.
- Boot to normal again when you sure you already install TWRP, download and copy the required file on your external SD Card, dont extract it.
- Once again reboot your device to recovery mode.
- On TWRP, select Backup ? Give tick on Boot, System, Cache, and Data ? Swipe to backup
- After finish backup dont reboot the system, back to main menu and select Install ? Select zip to install point to external SD Card where you store rp_5.5+0.5gb-cn or rp_6.0+0.0gb-cn1 and select it to install.
- Swipe to confirm flash, wait the process to finish. This process will re-partition your device partition table and the extract format.zip on your external SD Card. When finish it will reboot to recovery automatically (if not reboot, do manual reboot to recovery mode)
- Back to main menu again, select Install ? Select zip to install point to external SD Card and then select format.zip. If it result error mounting /eMMC then back to main menu again select Wipe ? Swipe to Factory Reset and then install format.zip again.
- This step is optional, Back to recovery mode again select Restore ? Select package to restore point to external SD Card where you store backup files then give tick on Data ? Swipe to Restore, wait until finish and then Reboot your device
- Done, confirm it with go to System Setting ? Storage and see that your internal memory is increase.

Re-Flashing Lenovo S820 with Official ROW Version S820_ROW_S124 - I hope this guide can be use to solve bootloop problem on Lenovo S820. Bootloop often happen when you like to flashing, modify, or upgrade your android device. Bootloop is a situation when your Android device cannot boot normally and stuck on Android logo, this situation can be fix with factory reset or with re-flashing the current ROM. This guide can be use to requirement for updating Lenovo S820 to Android KitKat with OTA method, you can see the guide in Update Lenovo S820 with Android KitKat ROW Version.
On this update S820_ROW_S124 is using Android 4.2.1 it Jelly Bean, this update already contains Google Play Store and already have multi language, but no root because it is official release from Lenovo .

For device produce in 2014 you must download this preloader 2014 , extract it to ROM folder and remove the checksum.ini file

Re-Flashing Lenovo S820 with Official ROW Version S820_ROW_S124
- Download all required files, extract S820_ROW_S124_140404 and extract SP_Flash_Tool_v3.1316 inside it. Please make sure that USB VCOM driver already completely installed before continue to the next step.
- Go to extracted folder, there will be target_bin folder and SP_Flash_Tool folder, you just need these 2 folder only. Now go to SP_Flash_Tool folder and run Flash_Tool.exe, if you running windows 7 please run it as administrator privilege.
- On the flash tool. Tick DA DL All with Checksum option, this is an important option so dont forget to tick it. if DA DL All with Checksum option is disable, then you need to click on Scatter-Loading button and point it to target_bin/MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt this will automatic load all image files required for flashing to flash tool.
- Leave Preload empty. After finish configure Flash Tool now press Downoad button or hit F9, flash tool will pop up warning that not all images loaded just confirm with press Yes button. Flash tool will begin to initialize and become ready to receive connection from your device.
- Now turn off your device and remove the battery. Then connect to your computer using USB cable, flash tool will recognize your device and begin to start flashing process. This process will take 5-6 minutes and you can see the progress on the bottom flash tool.
- If you can see Green Circle in the middle of flash tool than it mean you successful flashing your device and now you can disconnect your device from computer.
- Done, now try booting to your device and confirm the build number is same with the downloaded ROM, go to System Setting ? About Phone or you can dial #### 5993 #

Re-Flashing Lenovo S850 with CN Firmware 70 Languages Android 4.4.2 - This ROM is official China release for Lenovo S850 but already modified with google applications and include with 70 languages inside. This ROM use Android 4.4.2 KitKat so if your device got problems after installing ROW version maybe this ROM can be alternative for you to try. Many problems will happen when you modified your devices so before making any change please do full backup your current ROM and IMEI, even this guide is for Lenovo S850 but it have possibility to brick your device so please becareful and read careful.

- Full backup your current ROM and IMEI, use MTK Droid Tool for full backup and IMEI but it need your devices to be root
- USB VCOM driver already installed on your computer, Turn off your device and remove the battery. If you device use non removable battery then just turn off and wait for 10-15 second to make sure that your cevices is completely turn off, using USB cable connect your device while look at My Computer ? Manage ? Device Manager there will be MTK65xx Preloader Devices show up for 2 second than disappeared, before disappeared right click on it and select Update Driver Software point it to USB VCOM driver extracted folder. When it finish disconnect and connect again there will be Mediatek PreLoader USB VCOM Port on your device manager.
- If you are use windows 8 then you need to disable sign driver option, before installing USB VCOM driver, it will block the installation.

- S850_CN_Multilanguage ? 621 Mb, Contains full image ROM for Lenovo S850 CN version modified.
- SP Flash Tool v5.1352 ? Flashing tool for MTK devices.
Re-Flashing Lenovo S850 with CN Firmware 70 Languages Android 4.4.2
- Download all required files and place it on one folder, for easy organize it. Extract all on the same folder too. Make sure USB VCOM driver is completely installed before continued to the next step.
- Go to flash tool extracted folder and run Flash_Tool.exe, if you are using windows 7 or windows 8 please run it as administrator privilege for avoid permission problem. On the flash tool open Options ? Option ? Download, make sure DA DL All with Checksum already checked. Press [x] to close and back to flash tool
- Back on the flash tool, click Scatter-Loading button and point it to S850_CN_Multilanguage extracted folder and select MT6582_Android_scatter.txt it will load all required images file to flash tool,
- If all loaded completely, select Download Only on download option then press Download Button or hit CRTL+D, flash tool will begin stand by and ready received connection with your phone.
- Now turn off your phone and make sure it already completely turn off. Connect your device to your computer using USB cable, if USB VCOM driver is completely installed then flash tool will recognize your device and begin to start flashing process, this flashing process will take 5-6 minutes and when finish it will be marked with GREEN CIRCLE in the middle of flash tool.
- Done, Now you can disconnect your device, and try to normal boot. First think that you wanna do is maybe change your language yo your country language and then confirm the build with go to System Settings ? About Phone.

Lenovo S860 Re-Flashing Lenovo Standard Recovery - Guide today is how to return to Lenovo standard recovery for Lenovo S860, This guide needed when you have flashing custom recovery and want to back to Lenovo standard recovery for do OTA update. This guide is only for europe devices only with 2 GB RAM, because recovery file for europe devices and china devices is different so you cannot do this guide for china devices. This guide will do flashing to your devices, failure will make your device bootloop and can only be fix with re-flash your devices ROM, so please make backup your current ROM and IMEI.

- S860_Recovery_Original ? contains 2 files scatter file and recovery file, can be flash with mobile uncle or flash tool.
- USB VCOM Driver ? Install this driver first on your computer, Turn off your device and remove the battery, using USB cable connect your device while look at My Computer ? Manage ? Device Manager there will be MTK65xx Preloader Devices show up for 5 second than disappeared, before disappeared right click on it and select Update Driver Software point it to USB VCOM Driver extracted folder. When it finish disconnect and connect again there will be Mediatek PreLoader USB VCOM Port on your device manager.

- Extract recovery files and flash tool, go to flash tool extracted folder and run flash_tool.exe. If you are using windows 7 or later than please run using administrator privilege for avoid any permission error..
- On the flash tool, check DA DL All with Checksum option and then click on Scatter-Loading button, point it to MT6582_Android_scatter.txt on the recovery extracted folder. This will automatically load recovery.img to flash tool
- When you ready just press Download button or hit F9, warning will show and tell you that not all images correctly loaded, just confirm it with press Yes button
- Flash tool will become stand by and ready to receive connection with your device. Turn off your device, because Lenovo S860 use non-removable battery so please make sure it already completely turn off. Connect your device and flash tool will recognize your device and start to begin flashing process, the process will take 5-10 seconds to finish when you see GREEN CIRCLE in the middle of flash tool that mean flashing process already finish.
- Done, wait for minutes before disconnect your device. Disconnect it and press Power button + Volume Up + Volume Down button, confirm that your recovery has change to Lenovo Standard Recovery.
