Lenovo S850 Install TWRP 2.7.0.1 Custom Recovery - Custom recovery is always needed for modified Android devices, for Lenovo S850 custom recovery needed if you wanna root your device. TWRP (Team Win Recovery Project) is one of the most famous custom recovery for Android devices beside CWM (ClockworkMod Recovery) and Carliv Recovery. Custom recovery has many function that can be use for safe your devices, the most usable function is backup and restore. For remember once you change your stock recovery to custom, you can ever back to stock recovery if you dont have it backup. And change to custom recovery dismiss your ability to perform an OTA update.

Please do your own preparations, backup your data, contacts and stock recovery will be good to do in case something bad happen.

Downloads :

• TWRP_v2.7.1.0_S850_ROW ? Custom recovery file this can be install from mobile uncle or with SP Flash Tool. (Sometime after install this your touch not work, so becarefull) 
• SP Flash Tool v3.1324 ? Tool for flashing custom recovery to your device. 
• USB VCOM Driver ? Install this driver first on your computer, Turn off your device and remove the battery, using USB cable connect your device while look at My Computer ? Manage ? Device Manager there will be MTK65xx Preloader Devices show up for 5 second than disappeared, before disappeared right click on it and select Update Driver Software point it to USB VCOM Driver extracted folder. When it finish disconnect and connect again there will be Mediatek PreLoader USB VCOM Port on your device manager.
  

Lenovo S850 Install TWRP 2.7.0.1 Custom Recovery

1. Download all required files, if you ever read and follow my guide about update Lenovo S850 with Android KitKat then you must know that USB VCOM driver must installed completely before you can continued to the next step.
2. Extract all downloaded files, please extract it to the same folder for easy organized it and east installation. 
3. Go to Flash Tool extracted folder and run Flash_Tool.exe if you use windows 7 then please run it using administrator privilege. now please check DA DL All with Checksum option, you will get error when you dont check this option. 
4. Click on Scatter-Loading button and point it to TWRP_v2.7.1.0_S850_ROW extracted folder on MT6582_Android_scatter.txt this action will load recovery image file to Flash Tool automatically.
   


5. After finish configure Flash Tool, now click Download button or hit F9, This will trigger pop up that tell not all images loaded just confirm it and click Yes button
   


6. Now turn off your device. Wait 15 seconds until phone completely turn off, now connect your device to your computer. Flash Tool will recognize your device and begin to start flashing process. this will take not more than 5 minutes to flash the recovery file. Flashing process will mark with RED and YELLOW bar bellow the SP Flash Tool, and if it already finish it will show GREEN CIRCLE int he middle of SP Flash Tool.
   
   


7. Disconnect your device and turn it on with this combination button, press and hold  Power button + Volume Up + Volume Down button. Release it when you see TWRP custom recovery main menu.
